Deane has been the resident artist at Waihi's tattoo studio since it opened it's doors in 1991. Originally called 'Dynamic Dermagraphics', it is now commonly called the 'Waihi Tattoo Studio'. Since opening, the studio has become widely known for the quality and variety of tattoo art it produces. Both the shop and the artist have been featured several times in the popular American 'Tattoo' magazine with Deane being recognised by them as ranking among the top 40 tattoo artists in the world (Dream Team lll, Dec 2001). 

The shop specialises in all types of tattoo and draw custom pieces to suit, or work with art you provide. We also have thousands of pictures to choose from in the studio. The online galleries contain only a tiny percentage of the tattoos created in the last 18 years, and are there to provide some examples of what can be done. 

Body piercing is also available, Heidi has provided this service since 1998, so has a lot of experience to draw on. All piercing jewelley is surgical grade stainless steel, or titanium.

General shop hours are Tuesday to Saturday, opening at 10am. We do have late night appointments available. Bookings are essential, but the door is always open during business hours to drop in for a chat or consultation with Heidi. We are open seven days a week from Boxing Day until mid January and usually have a guest artist working during that period. The studio is off the main road with plenty of parking and designed with your comfort and privacy in mind.

Three generations of Holland's tattoo in studios around New Zealand and have, or are currently travelling the world tattooing. Deane's brother Brendan with sons Dylan and Taylor work out of BTat2d in Manukau (Auckland). Deane's dad Syd founded 'Forever Art' at the Terrace End of Main Street in Palmerston North which he has now passed onto his grandson Aidan. Aidan trained with his dad at the Waihi Studio.   Check out some of Aidan's work here.  Syd's mum Eva is an accomplished painter, so you can assume that artistic talent literally runs in the family!
